Software Engineer Intern - Network Detection & Response

  • Designed and implemented a distributed telemetry service in Haskell on NixOS/Linux network security appliances, publishing health and configuration data to Kafka for automated misconfiguration detection, remediation, and capacity-aware bandwidth allocation.
  • Engineered a least-privilege authorization model for a cloud-based network appliance management and SSH access portal using Amazon Cognito and hierarchical customer and appliance policies in DynamoDB.
  • Migrated six AWS API Gateway endpoints from direct DynamoDB integrations to AWS Lambda, enabling fine-grained Cognito authorization and supporting future PostgreSQL and HTTP v2 API migrations.
